MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING

            WEBSTER PARISH POLICE JURY

December 13, 2024

MEMBERS PRESENT:  Jim Bonsall; President, Steve Lemmons, Nancy Hines, Randy Thomas, Daniel Thomas, Bruce Blanton, Adam Lee

Absent: Allen Gilbert, Beverly Kennon, Vice President; Steve Ramsey, Mike Griffith and LaTanya Grigsby

Mr. Jim Bonsall called the meeting to order at 11:00AM and asked

 Mr. Steve Lemmons to open the meeting with prayer and Mr. Jim Bonsall led in the pledge of allegiance

Mr. Jim Bonsall then asked for additions to the agenda.

No additions to the agenda.

There were no comments from the audience concerning the agenda.

Mr. Daniel Thomas moved, seconded by Mr.  Randy Thomas to Award the Contract with Testament Construction for the Women’s Jail Facility, bids approved December 3, 2024, American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funded project, in accordance with bids received December 2, 2024, and authorize the execution of documents for the Parish of Webster. Motion carried unanimously.

Mr. Daniel Thomas moved, seconded by Mr. Bruce Blanton to add Recreation funding to the agenda. Motion carried unanimously.

Mr. Randy Thomas moved, seconded by Ms. Nancy Hines to approve Recreation Funding:

District #6 $500 to the Dorcheat Historical Museum for utilities and $500 to the Minden Fire Department for rescue equipment.

District #8 $500 to the Minden Fire Department for rescue equipment.

District #4 $1,000 to the Minden Fire Department for rescue equipment.

Motion carried unanimously.

There being no further business to bring before the Jury, the meeting adjourned.
